Flower Grocery Bag

It is fun to crochet mesh grocery bag like this. The flower pattern makes it more interesting. I was really enjoy crocheting it. But of course I won’t go for the second one, I like it, but not loving it enough to crochet it again. I am not sure what am I going to with it yet, may be for my yarn storage like what I show in this picture?

This is a purse that I crocheted lately. It is very interesting because pooling causing the purse to have two different colors at both sides.

Knitting Hat

This is a hat that I knitted for my friend, it took me almost a week, I am still slow in knitting, and kind of hurting my fingers sometimes.

Today I shopped at Michael’s, Joann’s, and Hobby Lobby with my friend, but I didn’t buy anything since they don’t have yarn on sale for 4th of July. I will be leaving for Dallas tomorrow noon time, I will try to check out local yarn stores there if they are open.

Crochet Headband

I am not posting as frequent now, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t crochet or knitting anymore, I just don’t really have time to take pictures.

What I like to share today are the headbands I crocheted for my friend. I am sending out to her today, that’s why I finnally took the pictures.

These headbands are simple, yet beautiful, and easy to wear. The color of the first and second picture are supposed to be more magenta instead of red.

The fish headband is very flexible, can fix any head sizes. Basically it is a button holes design, you can button up base on your head size and it leave a cute fish tail behind your head.

Other than crochet and knitting, I enjoy playing beer pong with friends everyweek, and I am also looking forward to meet new friends. If you are happen to be in Austin area, and like to have a coffee, leave me a message!

DIY Crochet Hooks Holder

Crochet Hooks Holder

It is so hot today in Austin, almost hit 100 degree now! I finished this crochet hooks holder before lunch. Now I am going to share with you my DIY process.

First I collected 2 cardboard rolls from my yarns. I aligned them and taped them together.

Then I started to crochet the base. I crocheted 6 sc into a magic ring, then added 6 sc in every each row until it is slightly bigger than the cardboard roll.

Then I stopped increasing stitches, continued to crochet the same numbers of stitches for each row in back loop only. I alternated colors every rows to create the stripes pattern.

I crocheted the height about 2.5 inch extra, so that I could bend it into the cardboard roll to create a nice edging on top.

It is a very simple and easy DIY as long as you know how to crochet. You can finish it within a day!

Crochet Coaster Set

I have just added a few items into my Man-Made gallery. The first item I am going to share with you is the coaster set. 4 coasters and a matching bowl are included.

Men's Classic Scarf

What comes next is this crochet men’s classic scarf. I used bamboo blend yarn for this scarf, it turned out so soft and smooth! If you want to get something for your beloved BF, you really need to consider this! If I change my mind, I might just keep it for myself….

Crochet Fun Scarf

The last item for today is this fun scarf! It has a fun and young look, however the yarn was not easy to work with! I am sure all the knitters and crocheters know about this yarn. At least I finished it! It is really warm and comfy as well.

Just bought a new laptop

I am typing from my new laptop. It is a HP Pavilion dv5 1235 dx, and yes, it is the laptop that has biggest, most bulky battery you have ever seen!

From checking the reviews on Internet, people complained about the difficult to read keyboard and the super bulky battery. Fortunately, I am fine with those problems. My last laptop only last for an hour without plugging in the power, so I really want to get a laptop with longer battery life. The battery is kind of big, it even creates an angle when you use it on the table, but it really doesn’t bother me. For the keyboard, I never have to look at the keypad to type, so I am fine with that as well.

I have a little cold today, so I am spending all day long in bed, it is good to have my laptop, without plugging in the power cable, really convenience.

However, I am not happy with the amount I paid. The laptop was priced $699, with tax, warranty, and all kind of service charges, I paid $1100 in total! Even without buying the 3 years warranty and paying the tax, I still had to pay $129 extra for some kind of security services. Even the representative had explained to me twice, I was still not quite understood.

That’s why sometimes I really hate to buy computers, there are always all kind of hidden fees and charges! I bought it at BestBuy, so if you are planning to get a laptop from them, please expect to pay extra $200 before you can bring your baby home!

Hand Knit Skinny Ribbon Scarf

Today was the first time I published my knitting work in my Man-Made Gallery! I am excited and hope you like these scarves.

So what am I doing everyday? Basically, I am just crocheting and knitting, and watching videos on Youtube at the same time. I decided to take couple weeks off, just to relax and have fun. After that I will have papers to write. Yes, Summer is long, but my vacation is real short.

I felted couple coaster in the afternoon, the size is bigger than I thought it would be, so next time I probably will reduce couple rounds.

Crochet Berries Scarflette

I plurk a lot lately, I guess that’s why I don’t blog so much. Before I introduce you my latest crochet work, I would like to greet every moms, Happy Mother’s Day! I couldn’t really celebrate it with my mom since we are so far apart, but I definitely will call her! I wish all the moms will enjoy their special day.

This is a scarflette I design by myself. It is simple and elegant, I believe it looks great on everybody!

The next item I have for you today is a flowers pattern scarf I crocheted with the beautiful Noro yarn. I have pre-washed it to soften the wool, and it will get even softer once you start to wear it.

Currently I am working on a LARGE beach bag, and finishing a ribbon scarf. I wish I have 48hours aday!

Wool Crochet Coffee Cup Cozy

100% wool coffee cup cozy

Today I have just added two new coffee cup cozies. The first one is crocheted with 100% variegated wool yarn. The thick and thin yarn thickness really make it a very unique piece.

Then, second one is crocheted with bulky wool blend yarn. It is a two tone design, the thickness of the cozy really provide a comfy feeling when you are using it.

Crochet Black Ipod Classic Cozy

Even though classes was over, but I didn’t really have time to update my Man-Made gallery since I was supporting Tim at the softball tournament.

I am not sure that I want to publish new scarves on my gallery since it is getting really hot in Texas here. Is there anywhere in the United States is still very cold?

Because it is Mother’s day Next week, I was inspired to come out with this Love Coffee Cup Cozy. I really had fun crocheting it!
